About Alfred

I ensure all of my students their confidence level is remained on par or higher, regardless of how many events are happening in their lives. Every student has an unspoken amount of stress, either due to extracurricular activities, or family issues. Before I start my sessions with you, I ask how things have been, while assessing your focus and mentality simultaneously. From there, I adjust my tempo and level of language I use so that you can ease up and gain back confidence from understanding what's on hand.

My slogan: It's not about working smart, or hard. It's knowing when to work smart, and when to work hard.

2) Unlike public teachers and textbooks, I show you examples until you understand before we work on problems

  • 1) When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

My enthusiasm for science (ie. Physics) began when I was 12 years old, during my time as an active tennis player. I was fascinated by concepts such as how topspin forces an opponent to hit the ball out of bounds, or why a drop shot causes the ball to bounce backwards after bouncing. This curiosity extended beyond tennis; nearly every sport I played or watched deepened my interest in the scientific principles at play.
  • 2) What makes you passionate about your subject?

Science fascinates me because it offers explanations for the world around us. It’s deeply connected to everyday experiences; whether it’s the physics behind sports, the chemistry involved in intermittent fasting, or the psychology behind video games. Nearly every aspect of our daily lives is rooted in scientific principles, and that constant relevance is what drives my passion for the subject.
  • 3) What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

What I enjoy most about tutoring is witnessing students transform from struggling learners into confident, high-achieving individuals. It closely resembles the rewarding experience of guiding a child through their growth, much like a parent would. As a former student myself, I have firsthand insight into the challenges students face. This perspective allows me to connect with them on a deeper level. I don’t just teach content; I provide structured examples and clear guidance, such as why sleeping is important, or why studying 3 hours before the exam is not effective, enabling students to replicate successful problem-solving approaches with confidence and independence.
  • 4) Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

Albert Einstein. "I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious". Not everyone is born with or without skills or power to be successful. Einstein taught me/us to be curious, and that itself drives my learning motivation every day, even at my age.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

Always have a list of goals per day. When I complete them, self-appreciate a bit, then move on to the next task . That keeps the self-driven determination and motivation going. Rinse and repeat every day.
